Ontape/ logical log backup to disk

Hi Friends, I am having following setup Ifmx ver : 7.23.FC1 Server : DEC ALPHA Actually i tried to take ONTAPE -s or ONTAPE -a to disk and it was not successfull. It gave me a message that could not write to specific path. I have checked the permission and user and group id. Regd those, every thing seems to be ok. I took dbexport also on that location, it works fine. i have mentioned that path in ONCONFIG file parameters. i tried with different path for logical log backup/ system archive,no help. i have tried to have symbolic link to another location, no help. i will appreciate for any help for the same.
