NE 3.1: activate of AFCL picture button

Hello NE 3.1 experts, We are currently upgrading a large application written in NE 2.2 to NE 3.1. The old application was build using the AFCL. Of course we made modifications to the classes in the AFCL to solve some bugs. In NE 3.1 however, when we press the insert button (clearPB), the activate of the uastatepicture button does not go off. The focusIn does, because the comment in the status bar is set correctly. All the handles to the activate functions are made correctly. It seems like the activate event does not go off. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be ?
