I am currently working on a project to develop an executive information system. We have a Sun Model 10 Model 41 with 64MB RAM and 3 GB of hard disk. I have read recent reviews of Informix Hyperscript Tools Windows Version and am favorably impressed. The Unix version is due out in January. The problem is that it only runs with an Informix database. The facility where I work uses Ingres. I would like to switch to Informix but would need to come up with some strong recommendation. Any suggestions? Any alternatives? I recently read about EIS ToolKit from MicroStrategy and am awaiting info. It's virtue is that it runs across differnet RDBMS platforms to include Ingres. Any knowledge is greatly appreciated. ,,, ( o o ) ( - ) -----------------------oOO---------------OOo---------------------------- Steve Gregg Internet: gregg@ramstein-wpc.af.mil ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | | | | | | | ~~~~ ~~~~
