Doc for Internal Functions of ESQL-C

Hi there, I'm looking out for detailed descriptions of internal functions of the esql library. In detail: The functions which are used after generating a c-file from an ec-file whith the embedded esqlc-processor such as: extern int _iqdbase(char *db_name, int exclusive); extern int _iqdbclose(void); extern int _iqdcopen(_SQCURSOR *cursor, struct sqlda *idesc, char *desc_name, char *ivalues, int useflag); extern int _iqdealloc(char *desc_name); extern int _iqdescribe(_SQCURSOR *cursor, struct sqlda **descp, char *desc_name); extern int _iqexecute(_SQCURSOR *cursor, struct sqlda *idesc, char *desc_name, struct value *ivalues); Background: Long years ago my company has developed an object-oriented sql interface "osqlif" (means: classes for sql such as database, conncetion, etc...) . It was build for Informix 4.0 and they employed a few internal esql-lib functions. The product isn't maintained for years but now I would like to build it for my own and use it in our internal projects. We have Informix 7.13-7.20 and the osqlif-lib will not compile due to changes to the esql-lib. Unfortunately I have no overview and no detailed description of the functions and their parameters. That's the reason I looking for them. There is no documentation on these, certainly no official ones. Have you checked out the C++ interface that Informix now supplies as part of the SDK 2.xx? It may fill your needs. Art S. Kagel
