What I usually do is create a shell script to execute my 4gl programs. The first two lines of the shell script are: INFORMIXDIR=/usr/informix; export INFORMIXDIR PATH=$PATH:$INFORMIXDIR/bin; export PATH Hope that helps! DAS -- David A.
