Chris, I doubt there is an easy fix in ACE. In fact the fix in 4gl isn't easy. I have written a word_wrap function in 4GL to assist a situation I had like yours. If you pass a string and a column width, it returns the string aligned at the left without splitting words. You then need to manipulate the returned string for output. It is a little cumbersome but once you have it set up it works fine. We use it for laboratory reports which are produced in a columnar fashion with up to four columns worth of reports per page. Most of the data is numeric, but each column can be concluded with a comment. It is the comments that are presented in parallel.
