I went to a Cognos ReportNet workshop last week. A fine product, but there was one aspect which really concerned me: database specific functions were selectable in the GUI expression editor from separate folders for most major vendors except Informix. Would someone senior at IBM like to persuade Cognos to rectify this? Regards, Doug Lawry www.douglawry.webhop.org

So far I had no need to use any db specific functions, but used SPL by simply creating a view in the database. Which functions specifically do you have in mind? Just curious. Michael

That's reassuring. > So far I had no need to use any db specific functions, but > used SPL by simply creating a view in the database. > Which functions specifically do you have in mind? None in particular yet, as I am still evaluating the product. It just looks really bad PR having Informix absent.
