A customer of mine is running 7.22 ODS on a Silicon Graphics IRIX 6.X system.
We're finding some strange stuff. Engine freezes. Onmonitor gives blank
screen. onmode -z pid just hangs. onmode -k hangs. No action whatsoever
from any of the onstat info commands (returns numbers, but they don't ever
change. An oninit process jumps up and according to "top", sucks up 99.5
percent of CPU time, does nothing, and keeps sucking up CPU.
Seems to be load related. Same query runs OK with few users, seems to trigger
the freezup under heavier load. onstat -z hangs.
only way to proceed is either as root, killing the ipc's or as informix,
kill -9 the first oninit (I know...slap my hand, but it's that or reboot)
Has anyone else seen this?
