I thought 64bit eliminated the 2 gig limitation on dbspaces and/or tablespaces. Barbara A. This is often including disk IO. We do normally run the application and database on the same server (except windows). Over 50 users we supply IBM or SUN servers (we have no HP servers but expect them to be the same). Would only use 64 bit Informix if there was a real reason for installing it. In the past (on 7.31) we found the 64 bit engine uses more initial resources for the same performance.
