'B' in locklevel from systables

Hi All, Just a quick question... does anyone know what the 'B' stands for in the systables locklevel field? I know that it is a page level locking method of some sort ... based on the informix docs that is... Can someone clarify this at all. Please provide in your answer why and how this appears. I assumed that the only entries that a user can enter in this field is R (row level locking) and P (page level locking). I have not tested this out yet ... I wanted to check before I did a quick test to know what exactly it is and what effect it has on the table and database. Thanks, Lloyd AJ Wilson.

A systables record with locklevel set to "B" will also have tabtype set to
"V" indicating that it is a VIEW NOT an ordinary table!

DO NOT MANUALLY MODIFY THE locklevel COLUMN IN SYSTABLES. You modify a
table's lock level with an ALTER statement ONLY:
ALTER TABLE mytable LOCK MODE (ROW);or
ALTER TABLE mytable LOCK MODE (TABLE);
This alters the table's systable record, yes, but also alters the
TABLESPACE TABLESPACE header for the table which a manual update cannot
do! Except for a VERY FEW columns in VERY FEW of the system catalog
tables DO NOT UPDATE system catalog table records manually! Dire results
can follow including but not limited to loss of data!
