You'd have to add a flag on the source table to mark the update as completed, and use transactions to prevent the flag update from committing until you're sure sure the insert/ update worked. Data replication as implemented in OnLine 6/7 is really designed to be a fault tolerance feature, not so much for what you're doing. Alternatively, why not just have the users on the reporting machine query the database on the other box, over I-Star? Easier still.
