Hi, I would define your record like this : define item record note1 char(75), note2 char(75), note3 char(75), note4 char(75) end record instead of like that table project. Then you have to define variables to hold the input results before you insert into the table. ie: define tmpproject record like project.* Then you let project.note[1,75] = item.note1 let project.note[76,150] = item.note2 let project.note[151,225] = item.note3 let project.note[226,300] = item.note4 insert into project values(tmpproject.*) Hope this could help.
