Two months ago, when I renewed my contract at my current site, the market seemed to be booming. I appeared to have the choice of 3-4 sites (especially in London) desperate for a DBA and prepared to pay top dollar. When I look at the recruitment ads now, it seems as dead as a dodo. No agencies have an Informix section, and such Informix jobs as do appear are listed at the back end of a Miscallaneous section on a double-page ad. Is the market nomally this mercurial? Or is there a more general malaise, perhaps related to the Informix Corporation's disastrous first-quarter results? Neil
