Front end question: batch vs user apps

We are leaning towards informix as our DBMS. Right now we are looking at what tools work with it. For user oriented programs we are considering Powerbuilder. We havy a lot of batch oriented programs running under Foxpro and we would like to hear suggestions of what programs/languages people are using to do batch operations with Informix.
