Websphere / EGL

It being the new year and sod all to do now that the annual transaction processing has been completed, I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs and the gaffer says "What's this EGL thingy then?". So, with time to kill and nothing better to do I thought I'd do some research, seeing as IBM are 'integrating' (my quotes) 4GL into EGL at some non-specific time in the mid-future. Has anyone used EGL with DB2, or has anyone seen an early version of the latest EGL which apparently can connect to IDS. Also, how does everybody see this 'integration', especially in the light of the IDS/DB2 merge? I'm currently downloading the Websphere Studio Application Developer trial from IBM and I'll chaeck that out and pass info on once I've given it a test run. Sorry not to be more specific but any and all views/experiences would be appreciated. Cheers Malc
