Kerry, Sen., US (MA); Patty Murray, Sen., US (WA); Dianne Feinstein, Sen., US (CA) http://www.e-thepeople.org/a-1/petition/8565/view The purpose of this petition is end the practice by Corporate America of committing economic suicide by off-shoring American jobs for short term gains. It can only be stopped by Congress. And Congress won't do anything unless and until American voters, say, "enough is enough, stop the madness". The Grimes Labor Equalization Surcharge will stop the madness. The Grimes Labor Equalization Surcharge will equalize the foreign labor rate to a comparable American rate on a per hour basis. Based on the going rate in the United States. The surcharge revenue will go into the General Fund, to fund Infrastructure Construction, Education & Healthcare. Suddenly there will be no advantage in off shoring. And Corporate American will relocate back to the United States, creating jobs for Americans workers who then become consumers. The Labor Equalization Surcharge also applies to foreign workers holding H-1B visas.
