1) You need to be logged in as root to do the installation.
2) The order of installation is important. Remember the word TEN
Tools - sql 4gl
Engine - OnLine
Network - Star Net - Not required for V7
3) Set the INFORMIXSERVER & ONCONFIG environment variables.
4) Read the release notes for comments on /etc/system.
