JDBC connection problem

When using JDBC to connect to Informix in a Java application, in JDBC Driver documentaiton, there is a Class "IfxConnectionPoolDataSource", it has a method: void setMaxIdleTime(int ageLimit) set maxIdleTime I am wondering the ageLimit's unit is seconds or milliseconds? Basically,when the user does not do anything and connection is idle, I want to kill the connection. When using connection pooling, how to do that? If I use the setMaxIdleTime method, after the ageLimit time, will the connection automatically be closed? Thanks!
