How many logical logs do you have and what is their size ?
1 MB is not so much ...
If load into non logged DB is too slow, look at loaded table scheme,
whether it has cluster index - this would require moving all table
after every loaded row - and this also be why long transaction appeared.
There is utility dbload in version 5 - you can load very large tables
to logged database and commit work after a number of rows -> no long
transactions. I suppose there is something like this in v. 7.
