Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Can anyone tell me where the information concerning the location and
file names for the bootstrap information is stored?
When I execute the ism_catalog -create_bootstrap -pool <POOL NAME>
manually or through the onbar script two files are created in the Pool.
However, I cannot seem to find where the information regarding these
files are kept. I have searched the ixbar file and the tables in the
sysutils database to no avail.
I have even contacted Informix Technical Support and they informed me
that there was no way to retrieve the information and that it is
embedded in the archive. It would seem ISM has to kept track of it so
the correct file name is used the next time a logical log or dbspace is
backed up.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
