Listening sockets, SCO-SQL Retriever

I'm having trouble installing SCO SQL-Retriever v4 on an IBM320. The box is running aix 3.2.4.0. and informix v4. I've installed half a dozen other boxes in this wan with no problems. The problem occurs during the latter stages of the sqlrinst phase of installation. When attempting to contact the lisense server (SQL-retriever has its own inbuilt), the install fails to recognise it and gives the option of continueing to look for it or comleting the install. If you continue to look it still doesn't find it, so eventually I simply toook the 'no'option and the install completes. However, while looking for the lisense server the nstall comes up with the error 'cannot create usp service' (universal sessions protocol). I'm not sure whether the the two problems are related, but the application doesn't function, and in its own eventlog comes up with an error of cannot create listening sockets. The box is running tcpip and bridged ipx/spx, and the netstat would indicate no problems with these. So I'm left with informix which I know marginally less than nothing about to try and find a solution for this one. Any help, advise, or even a tip as to what direction I might begin to search in would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Pete Reisner.
