While not on HP, we ran into this error alot with a monitor program we wrote.
What we discovered, was if a client process attempted a connect, and before
the connect was completed, the client process was killed, then as the original
connect was completing, there was no client, hence the connection could
not be completed, and OnLine would complain, 25587.
I don't recall the specifics, but we did identify a bug. If you need it,
