On SVR4.0 and SVR4.2 with support for dynamic shared libraries you
would do the following to generate a shared library from a static one:
Suppose there is some library called "libsql.a". Enter:
$ ar x libsql.a
$ cc -G -o libsql.so *.o
You now have a shared library named "libsql.so". Because of
differences in symbol linkage you may need to include some objects of
related libraries in your shared library even if they are not actually
used.
