Informix Server Health Check
Posted in 2013
DBA seeks health check scripts for Informix 11.70 to monitor limits like max rows/pages per fragment. Responses recommend: IIUG conference presentations with sample queries, and OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) Health Advisor which provides built-in checks with customizable thresholds. OAT documentation accessible via context help (?) button.

Hi, I am running a health check on our Informix 11.70 server. We are checking for things like making sure we are not reaching any limits e.g. max row per fragment, max pages per fragment, any integer columns not reaching the limit. Just wondering, are there any health check scripts already out there that will help with this? Thank You, --Dave --047d7bfd0562424ccd04ec2bbacf
Look at the presentations from the IIUG Conferences. There are some queries you can use in some of my presentations and also in Lester Knutsen's as well as from others. Art Art S. The Health Advisor in OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) comes with several checks with the capability to modify some of the thresholds and also add new checks. More details are in this article: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/data/library/techarticle/dm-1303openadmin/ Regards, Sumanth. is there any document to understand OAT configuration because cpu usage is showing 489.00%. This is not unusual thing Thank you On Thu, Nov 28, 2013 at 6:21 AM, Sumanth Rajagopal <sumanth.r@gmail.com>wrote: > The Health Advisor in OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) comes with several checks with > the capability to modify some of the thresholds and also add new checks. > > More details are in this article: > > > http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/data/library/techarticle/dm-1303openadmin/ > > Regards, > Sumanth. > > On Wed, Nov 27, 2013 at 9:14 AM, Informix DBA <in4mixdba@gmail.com> wrote: > > > Hi, > > > > I am running a health check on our Informix 11.70 server. Hi, You can find OAT documentation in 'Context Help' - the '?' (question mark) button on the top right of any OAT page. This is context sensitive help for the OAT page you're clicking the '?' button from. There is additional documentation in the Help left navigation menu item. There is often useful information in the hover help (tooltip) of certain data. Regarding the CPU usage, a number greater than 100% would apply to systems with multiple CPUs. Also, in the OAT Group Summary dashboard, clicking on the table cell, gives a pop-up with more information. Regards, Sumanth.
