Many thanks in = > :advance! The real problem is that there is no MONEY type in ODBC so that when the data comes back through ODBC, ODBC will probably put in into decimal. There have been problems in the past where Informix's money type comes back as text into e.g. Access, which is a pain as you then can't manipulate it (and even more of a pain because I believe Access does have a datatype money which you can't map into either way). I have seen problems with ODBC drivers pushing Informix's money type back into text. This should not happen and may be a fault in the ODBC driver. It should at best push it back as decimal so that at least the Windows app can mamipulate the data numerically. Allan Gould (allang@sco.com) (Small P.S.: we have an ODBC driver "SQL-Retriever" that should solve your problem and bring Informix's money type back as a decimal)
