Are you wanting to create a database consisting of nothing but views and/or aliases of a seperate database? Basically all that a view does is to expand the query to include the view. So there is no more actual overhead than if you had expanded your query to include the definition of the view. Actually the view's definition is reduced to only include the items that are necessary for the query being made. So if your query does not include some items of the view, then those items are not needlessly processed. Madison Pruet
