LBU_PRESERVE and LTXHWM

Colleagues ! We are using Informix 7.23UC3. Recently I changed LBU_PRESERVE from 0 to 1 to preserve the last log for Logbackup. What I would like to know now is if LTXHWM (50 on our system) now is calculated with (number_of_logfiles - 1) or still with (number_of_logfiles) so that I have to change LTXHWM to avoid long transaction problems ?
