NewEra Question

I'd like to display a .tif (picture) file while my NewEra app is firing up. I'm hoping for an effect similar to something like MS Word where the logo picture appears after double-clicking the app, then disappears after the app is up and running. Any ideas? mcampbell@ci.englewood.co.us
