Triggers inline in 4gl

Does any one know of a way to run DROP/CREATE TRIGGER statements inline in 4gl code (I'm having to pipe SQL to dbaccess at the moment which makes error trapping difficult)? It would be even more helpful if someone could tell me how to temporarilly disable triggers via 4gl/SQL. TIA
