RE: database modelling tools

You might want to look into "Power Designer 7.5" by Sybase. It has support for conceptual model, object model and the physical database model. It also has support for Typed tables. Erwin works well, however, does not support long table names or extended data types. Part of the re-design is 7.3x to 9.2x. We saw a demo of Erwin and thought it looked pretty good, but are wondering if there are any other products that would be better especially since I would guess that Erwin doesn't totally support an object-relational paradigm. Does anybody have any experience with Erwin with Informix good or bad? Please respond to kevin_burdish@timeinc.com as well as to the group.
