Hi to all under IDS 9.40.FC9, i try to lock a table begin work; lock table mytable in exclusive mode; it says that the table is already locked, i try to find out who is locking the table , NO ONE in the sysmaster.syslocks i found : dbsname mydb tabname mytable rowidlk 0 keynum 0 type IX owner 15 waiter dbsname mydb tabname mytable rowidlk 0 keynum 0 type IX owner 15 waiter but no trace of the session number 15. can anyone help me ?
With such a low session number I would think it is one of the engine's sessions. I run into this scenario after an index build in HDR. Can you trace things back to where you can get a stack trace? That would be helpful as to what is actually going on. -----Original Message----- From: ids-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:ids-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of SMITH JOHN Sent: Wednesday, February 09, 2011 10:06 AM To: ids@iiug.org Subject: a ghost lock [22736] Hi to all under IDS 9.40.FC9, i try to lock a table begin work; lock table mytable in exclusive mode; it says that the table is already locked, i try to find out who is locking the table , NO ONE in the sysmaster.syslocks i found : dbsname mydb tabname mytable rowidlk 0 keynum 0 type IX owner 15 waiter dbsname mydb tabname mytable rowidlk 0 keynum 0 type IX owner 15 waiter but no trace of the session number 15. can anyone help me ? ******************************************************************************* Forum Note: Use "Reply" to post a response in the discussion forum.
how can i find the stack trace ?
onstat -u doesn't show the SID 15? A low number can probably be an internal
session...
Regards.
