Problem with Set Lock MoDe TO WAIT AND STORED PROCEDURES

Hi, I am Facing a problem with Set lock mode to wait and cursory procedure. What happens is that informix internally sets the lock mode to NOTWAIT. This happens in Version 7.23UC3. Is there way round this problem. INFORMIX has been very rude with regard to this trouble and has refused to fix this problem inspite of agreeing that this is a problem. Thanks in advance Ramesh
