"Sadagopan, Sathish" <sadagop0458@att.com> offerred: +What is the difference between the Tablespace Tablespace bit-map page and +the Dbspace bit map page ? There is no such thing as a dbspace bit map page. You may be thinking of the chunk free list page, which contains info on where free space is available on each chunk. The TT is just like any other tblspace, and uses a bitmap page for every 4000 pages or so to track the page type, and whether there is any available space in the page. When you need to find a page to stick a new row into, these bitmap pages are searched to locate a page with the available space.
