connecting to database instance through remote VB

HI We have application on VB which used to connect to remote unix/informix server using RDO. this server was not secured, now we migrated to new server which can only connect through SSH. Now when we are testing application VB client it fails and is not able to connect. can anybody suggest how to solve this problem. Regards Debadatta Mishra
