oninit process

Hi,
I have a server with two processors the IDS version is 7.3, the operative
system is AIX 4.3.
Checking the process with ps -fea|grep oninit I can see 33 oninit process,
someone like oninit -s, oninit -v.
On this server I have four instances, I don't know why I have a lot of process.
Could somebody explain me.
Thanks.
Each
oninit process relates to certain tasks for each instance. The number is
dependant upon some paramaters in each onconfig. Only 33 for 4 instances is
not many. We have a number of machines with 1 instance that are each running
more than 33 oninit processes.
Use onstst -g glo for each instance to show you how many oninit processes that
instance has.

Run onstat -g glo to see what each process is used for. I think that will
explain a lot of the mystery.
