Internal tagging

I have Informix SE, ISQL The problem I am experiencing is the internal tagging the informix software does to the files I create. By this I mean that the files are somehow tagged internally with my user ID number. This undoubtably helps with security. Howver, when I want to transfer files I created to another workstation, if the user has a different ID number then the file permissions don't jive and I can't read the Informix files on the destination computer. For example, We are building a decision support system that must be transported to a remote workstation that has workstation Arc/Info, and Informix (SunOS). The Informix files are owned by the user Arc/Info who has an ID number of say 30 on my Sparc10. I transfer these files to my coworkers remote workstation, (Sparc20) -[both SunOS 4.1.3] who also has an arc/info user, but with an ID of 15. If I were to log in as guest on my SUN10, I can access these files as guest, run my decision support program, access Arc/Info and Informix no problem. When I login as "guest" on the SUN20 to run my application (Arc/Info), the Arc files are accessed but I get permission access denied error messages from Informix. The only thing I can think of is the user ID numbers for the owner of the Informix files (although the login names are the same) are different and that these numbers are being incorporated internally in the Informix files. This problem is going to make data transfer to other systems very difficult. We want to simply transfer data and go- we don't want to have to do systems admin stuff every time we transfer data between machines. So...... Is there a work around for this ? Can I simply omit this internal tagging from even happening ? If not, are there any UNIX files (preferably with SQL capabilities) that do not do internal tagging that I can use instead. I am open to getting a new software package if necessary. Is the fact that the ID numbers for login user "guest" are different on these two machines interfere with my ability to access the Informix files on the Sparc20 (remote WS) ? thank you for any leads...
