Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
David asked Neil Truby why he had not asked his IBM account manager about getting a time-limited IDS v10. Neil explained that his firm is an IBM Business Partner, that its Partner Manager, very knowledgeable about Informix, could not find one, and that an ordinary account manager would not know such details. Obnoxio The Clown added a one-word reply. No time-limited IDS v10 source was found.

Well we're an IBM Business Partner so our main contact with IBM is through
our Business Partner Manager. He is one of the most knowledgable people
about Informix and around IBM you could find, and he can't find one. As it
happens we are also regarded as a customer by IBM, but our IBM Account
Manager as a customer would be someone in IBM telesales with literally
hundreds of small accounts to mmanage, as well as the hundreds and hundreds
of IBM software and hardware products, and services, and could not possibly
be expected to have this level of detailed knowledge.
But the point I'm making was: don't you think I would have thought of these
things first?!
