Art, just to clarify, do you agree with the further posting that in
fact dbspace aren't limited to 2gb because they can be composed of
many 2gb chunks?

My apologies. I read and answered quickly between other things. There
is a 2GB limit on chunk size in 7.3x on all platforms. Dbspaces and the
total capacity of the IDS 7 server is limited to 2048 chunks. This can
be attached to a single dbspace or can comprise up to 2048 dbspaces of
at least one chunk each. Using maximum sized chunks that makes the
storage limit on the instance and for a single dbspace instance at ~4TB.
Note that a single table/index fragment is limited to 16,777,216 pages
(32GB on 2K page systems, 64GB on a 4K page system like WinXX or AIX) so
to have larger tables you need to create multiple dbspaces so you can
fragment those larger tables.
