CORE dump with a RUN command

We are having a problem with an existing 4GL application where we are doing a UNIX test command in an Informix RUN statement and the application is coring. We pretty much isolated the core problem with the test command. The application used to work fine until this weekend when we upgraded the OS and Informix software. The old platform was as follows: Sun Solaris 2.3 Informix 4GL-RDS 4.10.UC1 (because we could never get 4.11 or 4.12 to work) Informix OnLine 5.03.UC1 The new platform is: Sun Solaris 2.4 Informix 4GL-RDS 4.14.UC1 Informix OnLine 5.05.UC3 Any help would be much appreciated.
