Re: ISA says OFFLINE

After you have installed ISA on your server make sure you have configured a port number for ISA in "/etc/services": example entry in /etc/services: isa 1025/tcp # IBM Informix Server Administrator (ISA) port isa-jserv 1026/tcp # IBM Informix Server Administrator (ISA) servlet engine port The url for the above would then be: http:/<your host name>:1025 Hope this helps. It boils down to letting ISA know the usual suspect environment variable settings like INFORMIXSERVER , INFORMIXSQLHOSTS , INFORMIXDIR , and maybe ONCONFIG . There must be a menu item somewhere within ISA where you can edit this. It'll give you an example configuration which you can use to enter your settings the same way. Unfortunately I don't remember the exact name of that menu ("Configure" or "Setup" ?) and I don't have any ISA installed/running ... :-( Regards, Martin -- Martin Fuerderer IBM Informix Development Munich, Germany Information Management owner-informix-list@iiug.org wrote on 16.03.2005 18:44:10: > Just installed ISA 1.5 to try it with IDS 9.4 Windows Trial.
