Edit $INFORMIXDIR/etc/alarmprogram.sh (or %INFORMIXDIR%\\etc\\alarmprogram.bat on Windows) and set ADMINEMAIL to the email address or local user name (probably best) to which to send mail when a problem occurs. You may also want to set ALARMADMIN to a sensible value like 3. Informix will use the local mail server to send email which may need additonal set up if you want to send email further than the local machine. You may be able to diagnose your fault using "onstat -m" though or by looking at the online log. Ben.
