Its on Sun Solaris, I did trt selitcp and it gave and system error 22 with something about the port not able to connect. I check back with the last place I worked and there's is using port 1525, so I tried that and it seems to be taking it. One thing that puzzles me though, if I type 'netstat -na |more |grep 1525', I should be able to see the port listening - since its a daemon (sqlexecd) running, but its not showing up?
