Well, I don't think anyone would claim that the market for Informix has continued to grow over the past 6 years. Would they? It is heartening to see the amount of attention now being given to Informix by IBM, and particularly recognition of its pre-eminence in OLTP. Without wanting to appear churlish though, and as others have mentioned, there's a long way to go yet before it receives equal billing with DB2. And yet, in my experience, DB2 remains an irrelevance in the Linux marketplace ...
