Problem with Trigger on ODS 7.23.UC4
Hi,
Can anyone help me with a problem I'm having with an update trigger ?
The db is ODS 7.23.UC4 running on Solaris 2.5
The trigger is defined as follows :
create trigger T for update of Q, R, S on Tblreferencing new as post, old as pre
for each row (
execute procedure P (
post.Q, post.R, post.S, post.A, post.B, post.C
) INTO A,B,C
);
A sample update statement is
UPDATE Tbl
SET
X=?, Y=?, Z=?, Q = ?, R = ?, S = ?, A = ?, B = ?, C = ?
WHERE
Tbl.key = ?
When the update statement is executed, the update returns the -747 error
("Table or column matches object referenced in triggering statement")
I understood that this error was only returned when executing a
procedure INTO columns referenced by the UPDATE OF clause in the Trigger
definition. I can't see anything in the manual to forbid the above
syntax.
Any ideas?
