Memory use grows under 7.1 SE

I have a program written using Informix ESQL/C 4.1. We recently installed Informix SE 7.1 and I recompiled the program (just the .c - I didn't run it through the ESQL/C precompiler for 7.1 - I don't have it) using the 7.1 ".a" files. The program runs correctly, but looking at it with "ps -leaf", its memory size grows with each cursor declared. It did not do this under 4.1 or 5.0. The program does: prepare (of a select statement) declare describe loop fetch end loop close cursor free cursor (It opens the cursor after the declare - forgot that.) This is on an IBM RS/6000 with AIX 3.2.5. Has anyone experienced this? Joe
