No. The ONCONFIG file parameter NETTYPE configures the listeners and
replaces the OL5.xx parameter USERS to configure the number of concurrent
users that can attach using a particular protocol. The default if there is
no NETTYPE for a protocol, or if the NETTYPE does not specify a value, is
50 connections. To change the shared memory try:
NETTYPE ipcshm,1,100,CPUThis configures one shared memory listener thread (you should have one in
each CPU VP you have configured in NUMCPUVPS) with 100 connection slots in
a CPU VP for EACH DBSERVERNAME or DBSERVERALIAS that uses shared memory
(protocol onipcshm in the sqlhosts file). If you have more listners
configured (#listeners per connection name in the NETTYPE times the number
of shared memory connection names) than CPU VPs then NET VPs will be started
for the balance.
and for TCP try:
NETTYPE soctcp,1,100,NET
This starts one NET VP to listen for ALL TCP connections with 100 slots for
each DBSERVERNAME or DBSERVERALIAS that uses onsoctcp in the sqlhosts file.
