Return codes for SPL

I believe that informix is on the right track with Stored Procedures and Triggers (5.01) as far as I understand them. I can see much benefit in their concept and use especially when cascading transactions. I also believe that they would be a lot more powerful if one could somehow use and check return codes. This could easily be done within ESQL\\c, but that kind of defeats their intended purpose of straying from and maintaining outside code. There use would be a lot less vulnerable and lot more flexible if one could leverage off of functions, system calls ... within the procedures with the "passing" guarantee of a return code. If this can be done I'm failing to see how? -- Mikea
