I4GL would clear the screen before each of several RUN statements. The program is still in the prototyping stage, so I haven't had a chance to check it out in detail. I have identified some questions and areas of interest, though: CBREAK to NOCBREAK mode? I'm guessing that I4GL sets NOCBREAK mode before running a system command. Is this true? If so, does it do this for every form of the RUN statement? How does this action interact with the TERMCAP setting? Is there a "terminal initialization" string or something that could be changed as a work-around? Difference in .03 and 4.x? The above-mentioned application is the first one I've tried in 4.1, which we recently installed. We use the RUN statement in a number of places in our other applications, all of which are still under .03F. I don't recall seeing this behavior in any of our .03 stuff before. Is this a "going to 4.x" gotcha? Multiple windows? My program uses multiple windows. Will setting the current window to a particular value, such as the window that contains the menu or SCREEN, stop the screen clear? If I can't clear this up in the I4GL source, I'll probably use a C function like Dave Snyder suggested. If you have any ideas, I'd appreciate hearing from you. We're running I4GL 4.10.UC1, SE, SunOS 4.1.
