Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Is there support for the JDBC2.0 driver to access an Informix DBMS without
having to create an HTTP Proxy connection because of the DBMS being behind a
firewall? Is it possible to just open a port on the firewall to establish
communication with the IDS as long as its a TCP protocol?
I know that you need to use a HTTP Proxy connection when using the driver in
an applet but I am not sure about a stand - alone application.
Can anyone help?
TIA,
Lloyd.
