ADO Date Format?

It seems that ADO 2.1, on top of the Informix OLE-DB Provider, can only accept a date in the format yyyy/mm/dd if the date is in the 'where clause'. e.g. Select * from Table1 where Col1 = '1999/12/10' Changing DBDATE and DBTIME has no effect. Anybody knows how to change the date format? Thanks -- Bashar Chalabi CTL, London
Bashar, OLEDB spec says that the date format is yyyy-mm--dd so the provider forces DBDATE to y4md-. Why it works with y4md/ I do not know - maybe the server allows you to have / instead of -.
